2017 fiscal year comprehensive emergency training session was held in the Kuramoto campus
On December 5, a comprehensive emergency training session for the faculty, administrative staff and graduate students was held in cooperation with Tokushima University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and other affiliated institutes in the Kuramoto campus. About 60 hospital staff joined the training session. The main goals of this training session are to increase the disaster prevention awareness and reconfirm an initial response as defined in the disaster manual. On the assumption that a fire broke out after an earthquake, staff received training to quickly extinguish the fire, give evacuation guidance and conduct emergency relief activities. At the west ward of the hospital, doctors, nurses and medical staff confirmed their action to be taken, and worked together to evacuate patients.
