Tokushima University Forum 2018 Spring
On March 4th, Sun., 2018, “Tokushima University Hospital Forum 2018 Spring” was held at the Otsuka Hall in the Kuramoto Campus of Tokushima University. Tokushima University Hospital holds a public lecture every year as part of a contribution to local healthcare and gives opportunities to discuss how medical healthcare could be better in the future. This year’s 19th forum consisted of two parts: “Sports Medicine” and “Cancer”. In the first part of the forum, under the theme of “Sports Medicine”, the latest treatments and the Integrated Sports Medicine Center of Tokushima University Hospital were introduced. In the second part, under the theme of “Cancer” which is the single largest cause of death in Japan, specialists who are active on the front line of Tokushima University Hospital gave lectures focusing on the current medical treatment of lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer and palliative care. About 450 auditors were attentively listening to the lectures.
