The 2nd Tokushima University Hospital Advanced Medicine Conference
In December 11, Tokushima University Hospital held the 2nd Advanced Medicine Conference. The conference enables news organizations to gain a better understanding of the advanced medical care and latest developments at the hospital, and provides an opportunity to hear opinions from the media and reflect them in the future management of the hospital. After a greeting from Shinji Nagahiro, Director of the hospital, Dr. Sairyo of Orthopedic Surgery gave a talk on advanced endoscopic surgery for treatment of back pain, followed by a talk on genomic medicine for cancer by Drs. Takayama and Takizawa from the Cancer Management Center. Members of the press who attended asked many questions. Following the talks, there was also an exchange of information with attendees from the hospital.
