World Patient Safety Day: Project 2025
In conjunction with “World Patient Safety Day: Project 2025”on September 17 (Wed.), the Hospital collaborated with various entities in Tokushima Prefecture to raise public awareness by lighting up buildings (Tokushima University Hospital, Tokushima Prefectural Central Hospital, Japan Red Cross Tokushima Hospital, Tokushima Municipal Hospital, Tokushima Prefectural Nursing Association, Washi-no-mon of Tokushima Castle, and the Tokushima Prefectural Office) and by posting posters and distributing pamphlets.
In addition, the following events to raise awareness were held at Tokushima University Hospital on the day in question, with participation from numerous patients and medical staff.

・Mini-concert (performers: The University of Tokushima Symphony Orchestra)
・Lighting ceremony (in cooperation with the Tokushima Prefectural Office and Tokushima Prefectural Central Hospital)
・Display of the campaign color (orange) by medical staff at the University of Tokushima Hospital
・Informing the public through posters and pamphlets
・Tokupon, the official mascot of the University of Tokushima, was made the Director of the Safety Management Department for a day
・Tokupon visited the Hospital’s pediatric center
