Tokushima University Hospital Hosted "Healthcare Technical Staff Workplace Experience"
On Friday, August 21, 2026, Tokushima University Hospital hosted the "Healthcare Technical Staff Workplace Experience" event.
Approximately 60 high school students from Tokushima Prefecture participated, gaining hands-on experience in nine different healthcare technical professions. The students analyzed CT radiological images, performed ultrasounds, and operated endoscopic equipment in a simulated operating room environment.
Additionally, the participants acted as simulated patients to undergo tests conducted by orthoptists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. They also practiced blood collection and dental cleaning using patient training manikins.
One participating high school student commented, "I learned that there is a wide variety of professions, and I want to utilize this experience for my future."
