Tokushima University Hospital Held the Connect Event: Experiencing the "Yume to Mirai" of Medicine
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, Tokushima University Hospital hosted the "Tokushima University Hospital Connect Event: Experiencing the 'Yume to Mirai' of Medicine" at the Otsuka Auditorium on the Kuramoto Campus.
The first part of the event featured lectures on the following topics, including a keynote speech by Dr. Sairyo, the Director of the Hospital:
①Keynote Speech: "From Tokushima to the World: The Hospital's Vision and Philosophy"

②"Attempts to Cure 'Intractable Diseases' at Tokushima University's Department of Neurology"
Yoshishin Izumi (Head of the Department of Neurology, Tokushima University Hospital)
③"Possibilities Created by Tokushima University Hospital through Regenerative Medicine: A Bright Future for Type 1 Diabetes"
Tetsuya Ikemoto (Director of the Medical Safety Management Department, Tokushima University Hospital)
④"Pioneering the Future of Reproductive Medicine from Tokushima: Advanced Medical Initiatives"
Takeshi Iwasa (Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tokushima University Hospital)
In the second part, the speakers shared their personal journeys toward becoming physicians and discussed their initiatives in advanced medicine. They also answered various questions from the audience.The event concluded as a great success, drawing approximately 100 attendees.
